Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know this world is CRAZY both here and abroad.

Our political world is nuts.

What’s more, the Middle East is on fire. Alliances are being formed that we’ve never seen before.

And, even if you’re not very “religious”, you probably know the Bible has predicted many of the things that have happened in our world. Truly, things seem to be lining up with Biblical prophecy.

Noted author and biblical scholar, Joel Rosenberg tells us, “Today’s headlines are ripped right out of the verses in Psalm 83.

“O God, do not remain quiet; do not be silent and, O God, do not be still. For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves. They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the nation of Israel be remembered no more.” (Psalm 83:1-4)

In verses 6 through 8, we read exactly where these various enemies of Israel and the Jewish people live.

“The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites” – that’s southern Jordan and Arabia.

“Moab and the Hagrites” – that’s central and north Jordan.

Gebal and Ammon and Amalek” – that’s Lebanon and Syria and the Sinai peninsula.

“Philistia” – that’s the Gaza Strip.

“With the inhabitants of Tyre” – that’s more of Lebanon.

“Assyria also has joined with them” – that’s Syria, Lebanon and Iraq.

Right here, in this brief prophetic Psalm 83 – only 18 verses in English – God is warning us that people who live in these countries will hate Israel and the Jewish people.

Why?

Because they hate the God of Israel – the God of the Bible.“ (Rosenberg)

Christians in America are seeing this hatred of God and His ways.

This all has to make you wonder about the things said in the Bible about Jesus and by Jesus.

The Apostle Paul said, “Therefore, God has exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name.” (Phil 2:9)

Paul tells us in Acts, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

The Bible says there is no other Name by which men can be saved! No other name! There is no other way for sinful men to be in Heaven with a Holy God except by the blood of the Perfect Lamb-Jesus the Christ!

Let’s be clear on this, Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Salvation comes through JESUS alone -not Allah, Not Buddha, not any other name, or any other way men can contrive.

The Bible says, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom 10:13)

Have you called upon the Name of Jesus to be saved?

One day, perhaps soon, the One who came to save, will come again and those who call Him Lord will be saved.

And one day, all who live, and have ever lived, will bow at the sound of this name-

The Bible says, “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,” (Phil 2:10)

Every single knee will one day bow to the Name of Jesus!

BUT understand this —Although one day all will bow in submission, only those who have put their trust in Christ in this life will be saved.

“And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to glory of God the Father.” (Phil 2-11)

One day, every tongue, that has ever lived, will recognize that Christ is Lord, BUT for some it will be too late to be saved. Oh, please don’t let that be you!

Today, could be the day of your salvation!

Surely, you are tired of doing it all on your own, looking for this world for your peace. Friend, peace exists in surrendering all you know of you, to all you know of Jesus, trusting in His blood to cover your sins, and following Him as Lord of your life.

If you question if Jesus is truly who He says He is, do a little research on your own. You might check out one reporters’ effort to debunk Christ in the “Case for Christ” (Strobel) or read “Evidence that Demands a Verdict” (McDowell).

And if Jesus is your Savior, did someone else’s name come to your mind as you read this? Will you stop, and pray for them now?

Do they see Jesus in you? Have you talked to them about all this?

Oh friend, let’s live, not as this world lives, but as Christ so that others will be drawn to the God-man in us, so they might be saved and give Him glory as the days may be short!
