The Mathematical Probability of the Prophecies

Do you know these words from the prophet Isaiah were written 700 years before Jesus was born??

Isaiah 9:2
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
a light has dawned.
Isaiah 9:6-7
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

And then there was the prophet Micah… who wrote these words also 700 years before they would be fulfilled:

“But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler
who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.’” (Matt 2:6)

Are you ready to be blown away?

In an article in Science Speaks, Peter Stoner uses statistical probability theory to determine the likelihood of one man fulfilling 48 prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament.

The likelihood of this happening, per Stoner, is 1 in 10 to the 157th power or 1 in 10 with 157 zeroes behind it!

Have no doubt, THE STAGE WAS SUPERNATURALLY SET!

THE PROPHETS TOLD US OF THE SAVIOR’s BIRTH!

The Kingdom of God is with man!

Jesus, the Messiah, came to rescue us!

And don’t miss this—those same prophets told us, HE IS COMING AGAIN!

In fact, the return of Jesus is talked about in the Bible nearly three times as often as His birth! (JD Greear).

Are you looking forward to His return? Are you truly?

John Piper cautions Christians with this: “The great threat to the church in America is not that we are persecuted and homeless and driven about like refugees, but that we are so much at home here. We have let the Lord’s delay put us to sleep: no sense of urgency, no earnest expectation, no heart-wrenching cry: “Come, Lord Jesus!” No passionate mission strategy to penetrate the un-evangelized peoples who must be reached before he comes. And inevitably, when the urgent zeal for the name of God fades, so does the moral power to be pure.”

Oh, aren’t we seeing that all to be true? Especially the last sentence.

Do you know the Savior?

Do you celebrate the CHRIST of Christmas?

Does your heart long for His return?

We, who know the prophesied One, the Soon Coming King, who call upon Him as Lord… we have so much to celebrate!!

And so much to tell others about.
