I love God. I need Him every day. I’ve seen Him be faithful. He’s used His Word to lift my head, direct my steps, and comfort my heart.
One day, I just started sharing what the Lord is teaching me on my Facebook page. Today, there are almost 9,000 that follow along there and others here on my blog and Instagram pages .
I don’t take that lightly. I want to so carefully study. Especially now, when the clash of good and evil seems so evident and so many of us long for truth and encouragement.
We need it every day because the lies of the evil one, his attempts to rob, kill and destroy, come at us every single day.
As we pick up the Word, we are strengthened. As we pray and praise the Lord our burdens seem lighter and our hope becomes more tangible.
As we see prophecies fulfilled, as this world feels less and less like home, we remember our God is at work doing what He said He would do and His Kingdom is coming soon.
But that thought also brings a heaviness to our hearts …sorrow for the lost we love and those strangers we encounter daily.
Will they see Jesus in me?
Well, they certainly won’t if I’m not drawing daily from the well of time with Him.
Oh, but as we do, as we sit at His feet, we find our hearts filled to overflowing.
And that’s my prayer for this ministry page and my interactions with every person I encounter—I just want God to flow through me so they might be drawn closer to Him.
I am certain I’ve got nothing on my own worth hearing but only that which He gives.
So, will you pray for me? Can we pray for each other? Let’s ask the Lord to fill us to overflowing. I believe He will.
I recently met a young mom who came to know the Lord through the simple overflowing words of a random stranger to her little boy as she was out shopping.
The person told her son, “Jesus loves you” as they checked out. Her little boy then turned to her and said, “Who is Jesus and why does he love me?”
This prompted that young mom to visit our church and give her life to Christ!
I’ve thought a lot about that.
The strangers words were simple but sincere. I have imagined that store worker started his/her day in prayer and the Word and that just naturally flowed from them into the lives of others.
And with that, I remember God can do a lot with our simple acts of faith to seek Him and share Him with others.
And with that, I also hope we will all be encouraged, though this world is hard and troubled, to just keep seeking the Lord and trusting Him to fill us to overflow into the lives of others He is bringing to Himself as His Kingdom powerfully advances!
