You know HE knows what you may think is too hard for Him, right?

You realize, The Almighty God (El Shaddai) , the God Who Sees (El- Roi) knows our doubts and our worries.

God knows what it is we think is too hard for Him.

Here’s one reason we can know this—

In Genesis 17, God makes the covenant with Abram to multiply him exceedingly and give him the land as an everlasting promise. (This is called the Abrahamic Covenant).

This is the point when God changes Abram and Sarai’s names to Abraham (meaning father of many nations) and Sarah. He says Sarah will be the mother of many nations and kings will come from her.

Abraham then has a strange encounter with three supernatural “men”, of which one was the Lord, who reiterated that Sarah would indeed have a son in her old age (Gen 18) of which the Bible tells us Sarah laughed within herself (18:12).

Sarah laughed within herself.
She didn’t laugh out loud.
But God heard her. 😳

And, well, you know, God hears us too. He’s that close.
He knows.

Yes, The Almighty God (El Shaddai) , the Who Sees (El- Roi) knows our doubts and our worries.

He absolutely knows the things we think may just be too hard for Him.

He knows what we are ready to give up on, and He knows who we are ready to give up on.

Anyone thinking of anything yet?

Maybe it is that prodigal child. Maybe it is the unbelieving husband. Maybe it’s a health crisis you or someone you love is facing.

Friend, God knows what we are thinking. He knows our thoughts, the Bible says, before a word is ever on our tongue. (Psalm 139:4)

God is not interested in the prettied up religious life you are tempted to present to Him. He doesn’t want you to keep your thoughts to yourself (as if you could) . No, He wants close, intimate, transparent intimacy with you.

Does that not blow you away?

The King of the Universe wants you to run to His open arms.

And right here, in the often-overlooked Old Testament, comes one of the most comforting, reassuring verses! As Sarah laughs and doubts, God responds, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”(Gen 18:14).

Friend, is anything actually too hard for the LORD?

This is not a motivational, fluffy, question.

For what you believe about this question is telling of your faith.

But remember this, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Rom 10:17).

So look at the Word! Look at Genesis 18:14. Seriously, open your Bible.

Please note what is written ALL CAPS! It is the word “L-O-R-D” which means the promise-keeping God.

God is reiterating the fact that He will keep His promises. He will uphold the contract through the blood bought sacrifice of His Son!

Nothing is too hard for God!

Nope! Not even the thing you just thought about!

It’s all easy for Him. So when He tells us to pray about everything, we can stop delegating to God, thinking we will only give Him the big stuff!

There is no “big stuff” to God.

He spoke the world into existence, certainly He can handle your worries, doubts and concerns.

The best thing you can do is to go to Him in prayer with it. He already knows you are worried, doubting, and struggling with it.

And when we cast our cares on Him, when we pray, this is how we can “not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:6-7)

Let’s make our requests of the LORD!
And as we do, let’s remember just WHO we are talking to!

El Shaddai! El Roi! The Almighty God Who Sees!

Let’s thank Him and let’s find peace!
