God is BIGGER than our feelings!

God is bigger than our feelings!

We’ve been talking about asking the Lord to show us sin; but sometimes, some of us, can take this too far.

Our hearts condemn us when they shouldn’t. Sometimes, we feel guilty and ashamed not because of unconfessed sin, but for sins God has forgiven, or because we have an overactive conscience or we are being lied to by the “accuser of the brethren”, (Rev 12:10).

The enemy is holding some of you back by convincing you that you are not free nor forgiven when you absolutely are!

But, “if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts” (1 John 3:20).

Friends, we’ve got to know truth and walk in truth over our feelings. Our hearts can be deceitful above all things! (Jer 17:9).

We can ignore sin, but we can also imagine it when it is not there or hold on to condemnation when we’ve been forgiven. Some of you are doing this!

So, let’s go to the Lord. Let’s focus our eyes on Him. Let’s praise Him. Let’s prayerfully ask Him to help us test everything to walk in freedom.

And if we need wise godly counsel—by all means seek it! Go to a godly another and ask them to help you discern if there is real sin (to flee) or misplaced guilt (to refute).

“Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.” (1 John 3:21).

Let’s walk in that that glorious confidence and let’s be about our Father’s business !
