I’m begging God to draw me near, to help me hear His voice above the busy, hectic, and stressful times that Christmas and this world can sometimes feel.

I am asking the Lord to restore the joy of Him when life, and Christmas, seems to be rushing by Way. Too. Fast.

I don’t want to expect so much out of Christmas, and family, and myself, that I work so hard to make the moments….and miss the Peace of Christmas.

I don’t want all the preparation to be with others to keep me from truly being with them.

But more than being with those I love so much, I want to remember and truly celebrate the quiet moments the Savior has whispered hope, and joy, and peace into my soul.

Oh God with us, slow me down.
Today.

Slow us all down. Make us keenly aware us of your sweet nearness. For we are a people with so very much to celebrate this Christmas, and every day, because you came to us. Because You ARE with us.

Help us to see the blessings in this day.

Help us to not get tripped up by things that really don’t matter.

Help us to truly tune our hearts to You.

Thank you for the gift of You.
