Jesus healed many -the lame walked, the blind saw, the deaf heard. The crowds grew. He miraculously feeds another 4000 (Matt 15:29-39).

The Pharisees and the Sadducees (two groups who previously opposed each other) form an alliance against Jesus and demand a sign from Heaven, to which Jesus replies, “Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” (Matt 16:3)

And I think about our world, and all we can do, all the amazing technology and scientific accomplishments, and how so many, who themselves and even others deem intelligent, seem to be so blind to the spiritual world around them.

Why is this?

Is it that they put too much confidence in themselves and their pride blinds them? They often worship the creation and deny the Creator. They are their own gods suppressing the truth.

The Apostle Paul told us, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen”. (Rom 1:18-25)

Oh friends, do we not see exactly this in our world today?

How true the Bible remains!

“A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign” (Matt 16:4). So many look for something else, something more than we’ve already been given.

But Jesus is what our hearts long for. Nothing else will satisfy. He is the bigger than ourselves better thing!

And no one else can save!

Jesus!

Jesus came. He was crucified. He was dead and buried for 3 days (the sign of the prophet Jonah, Matt 16:4).

Even ancient historians who were not Christians recorded this.

Jesus lived and died and defeated death and He is coming again.

And those who deny Him are without excuse, but those who call on His Name will be saved! (Rom 8:13)

Oh what a Savior! May our hearts humbly see Him!
