I have shaken my head so much my neck hurts.
I’ve tried to convince myself things aren’t as bad as they seem, but I’m secretly thinking they are worse than we all know.
Yes, the world is a dark place, but we, who call ourselves believers, need to diligently remind ourselves of what we believe.
For what we believe is going to be increasingly tested.
And maligned.
And hated.
God’s Word tells us we will be hated and killed for His namesake (Matt 24:9).
We are seeing this all over the world and very close to home.
Just this week, children and teachers in a Christian school were murdered and our President and his administration chose to celebrate the sinful lifestyle of the shooter, just four days later, rather than call the act a hate crime.
Oh friend, wrong things are being called right; and what we believe as Christians is being maligned as hate.
We better pay attention and endeavor to lock arms with others who are locked on to Christ.
We better be more serious than ever about meeting together and encouraging one another as we see the Day approaching… because it is approaching. (Heb 10:25)
Sadly, we are seeing lawlessness increase and the love of many, even some that we used to think strong in the Word and truth, compromise with this world, and grow cold. (Matt 24:10-12)
Oh, how many love the praise of men more than they love the praise of God.
The truth is, if we want to be able to stand in these hard days, we better keep holding on to truth and testing everything, because even harder days may be coming soon.
We need to know what we believe and remain confident that God is able. Let’s remember what He told us!
God told us, “all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it( 2Tim 3:12-14)
And as we remember what we believe, and as we remind each other, we can keep going and we can keep holding tight to Christ saying, “But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until that day. (2 Tim 1:12)
Oh friend, this world is hard. But our God has us. He is able! His ways are right and true. Victory is His. And one day… all this trouble will be no more, every sad thing will become untrue, and our faith will become sight!
Oh hold on! Let’s help each other hold on!

Amen! Clinging to our almighty God and Savior with every fiber of my being!
And yes, this old world is already so dark and will get darker. Makes me so very sad for those that refuse to believe.
