Jesus is Risen!

The ground shook.
The angel appeared.
The stone rolled away.
The soldiers fell like dead men.
The grave empty.
Death defeated!
The Way Made!
Victory complete.

JESUS IS RISEN!

“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”. John 20:6

Oh, believer, you may not have seen the resurrection with your human eyes, but you know it is all true.

The Savior lives, and He lives inside of you now.

This
very
moment.

You see Him in your day. You hear Him through His Word. You know He is at work bringing beauty from ashes in your life too.

Blessed are those who know the Risen Savior as their Lord!

What peace to trust Him more than we trust ourselves! What hope to know He is always with us and preparing a place for us in eternity.

But friend, if you believe all this to be true, you also KNOW this same Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead. (2 Tim. 4:1).

People we know, those we deeply love, those we work with, those we see in the drop-off line, those we pass in the halls; they will spend eternity apart from God, in Hell, if they do not come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

We can’t just hang up the Easter outfit and move on!

Oh, do you feel an urgency too?

God, open our human eyes to see the lost around us.

How can we believe, what we say we believe, and not tell others about the Savior?

Oh friend, the Bible, the Living Word, tells us – “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. “(2 Tim 4:2)

This very same passage goes on to say, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” 2 Tim. 4:3-4

Have you looked around lately? Doesn’t this sound like our world? Our country? Our neighborhoods? And even some of our churches? Right now!

So, what can we possibly do?

God tells us. The next verse in the passage says, “As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Tim 4:5

Yes, YOUR ministry!

You have been given one, you know.

After Jesus walked out of that tomb and just before He ascended into Heaven, He gave His followers the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19).

Go and make disciples! Tell others about Jesus and what He has done!

Let’s face it. Most people around us aren’t reading their Bibles, but they are reading us! 😳

Do they see Jesus in our lives? In my life? In your life?

We, who know He is the ONLY WAY, and the only way for those we love, better pay attention.

Time is of the essence.
The consequences are huge.

This same Jesus, who fulfilled all the prophecies about His death and glorious resurrection, also says He is coming again and quickly! (Rev 22:20)

You were called for such a time as this.
This isn’t just the pastor’s job.

You don’t need a title when you have a calling. And we, who call Jesus, Lord, all have a calling.

Don’t be silent. How can we possibly be silent?

When we think about what Jesus has done for us, we know we owe Jesus everything… every ounce of praise… our next breath…

When I slow down enough, and truly think about what Jesus has done for me, I want every person I know to run to Him too….for His glory and for their good!

I want others to know what He has done for them! I want them to know they really can trust Him more than they trust themselves. I want them to see that He is the only place where real HOPE, lasting PEACE and exceeding JOY can be found!

There is no life apart from Him!

And I want to give glory to the LIVING, RISEN SAVIOR because He, and He alone, deserves it all!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt 28:19-20

Friend, just tell them what He’s done for you.

Because The One who saved us, He is with us! He won’t leave us! He will help us tell them He loves them too.

Sunday’s Here!!!
The Savior is Risen!!!

But Monday is coming… who will you tell?
