It’s not all up to us!

Feeling burdened and overwhelmed this Monday morning?

Remember- We have one job—to trust and obey the One who is powerfully at work In this world.

Everything else is His job! Hallelujah! It’s not all up to us!

The author of Hebrews explains that Jesus is the perfect priest of a better covenant to ALL who believe. (Heb 7)

He goes on in Hebrews 8 and 9 to explain that our High Priest is “seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected and not man.” (Heb 8:1-2)

The earthly tabernacle had been built by human hands but God, Himself, had erected a new tabernacle.

In the old tabernacle of the Jews, only the high priest could enter the most holy place BUT, because of Jesus, we can ALL, who have been forever cleansed by the blood of the Perfect Lamb, have access to the heavenly sanctuary of God.

This was RADICAL to the early Christians.

But it’s often taken for granted and “ho-hum” to believers today.

What peace we forfeit when we allow allow the enemy to shift our focus from the GLORIOUS TRUTH that we, THIS VERY MOMENT, have access to the all-good, all-powerful God Who is on the throne and AT WORK in our lives.

PLEASE read that again. Let it soak in.

He, Who knows every hair on your head (Luke 12:7) and calls you the apple of His eye (Ps 17:8) is at work in what concerns you in this day. And He hears our prayers!

The evil one continues to try to get us to think it is all up to us, that we are alone, and that God is not working all things together for our good as we follow Him (Rom 8:28)

The enemy of our souls knows, if he can distract us or discourage us enough, we will forget truth and be more likely to quit following the Author of Truth.

And, though the enemy cannot snatch us from our Savior’s Hand, he can rob our peace, hope and joy and destroy our witness.

Oh, but when we hold on, when we pray and remember our Perfect Priest is “seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected and not man.” (Heb 8:1-2), we can remember it is not all up to us!

Hallelujah! It’s not all up to us!

God really is at work in our lives and in this world!

We have one job—to trust and obey the One who is powerfully at work because He is able to take even the hardest of things and bring good!

Oh, may we eagerly wait for Him, and keep following Him!
