It’s a battle for truth out there, and not just about CoVid and vaccines, but even basic things like human sexuality and identity.

Truth is being twisted, and manipulated; and it is confusing and discouraging.

I used to trust what I heard on the news. Now information is spun so much my head hurts. 😳

I used to more readily believe our public servants were working for our best, but so many have quickly become drunk on money and power and their own agendas.

It all feels heavy. Sad. Hopeless.

But the truth is, we were never meant to look for hope in this world.

Science. Government. Culture. None of that can save us nor make us happy.

But God already told us all about this and us. He has shown us our hearts are deceitful and easily deceived.

We only need to pick up our Bibles to see mankind going their own way, again and again, and making a HUGE mess of it all.

God tells us, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”( Rom 8:5-6)

This “setting of the mind” is not a one time thing.

It’s daily. It’s moment by moment.

We can’t lean on our own understanding, but in EVERY way we have to acknowledge God and ask Him to make our paths straight.
(Prov 3:5-6)

We have to take what we hear, what this world promotes as true, and test it! Test it all and hold on to the good! (I Thess 5:21)

We have to take our own thoughts captive, because they can lead us astray too. We have to demolish our stinking thinking, that is contrary to the ways of God, so we can be obedient to Christ ( 2 Cor 10:5).

We need to daily put on the full armor of God’s Word so we can be STRONG in the Lord. (Eph 6:10-18)

A glance at a pastor’s tweet, a motivational moment, a 2-minute devotional is like trying to fight a raging forest fire with a squirt gun. It’s not enough!!!!

Set down your phone and run to the throne—you will find truth there.

Open the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you, and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and give you PEACE in this crazy world. (Phil 4:7)

The weapons you’ll find there have divine power to demolish strongholds and set captives free. (2 Cor 10)

The fiery darts, the lies of the enemy, the temptations you’ll face around every corner are defeated with the truth God will speak to you as you sit at His feet.

My words, nor any human words, will never impact your life like the holy, God-breathed words of Scripture.

“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2Tim 3:12-17)
