When I’m tired …
When I’m hurting…
I desperately need to hear God’s Words above the emotions swimming in my mind.
Life is difficult.
People are difficult.
Sometimes, it would be so much easier to live my life for Jesus if it were not for other people–the ones who hurt you and never apologize, the ones who don’t appreciate you, the ones who let you down, and on and on….
But.
Then.
There’s Jesus.
He’s that still small voice whispering, “I’m still here. I’m at work. Keep your eyes on me. Keep trusting me. And keep following me–even and ESPECIALLY when it is so very hard”.
He is our REAL hope. He is the lifter of our head. His eyes see so much more than we ever will.
He could calm the storm.
Yet.
He often calms us first.
Jesus is the One and Only.
He is the friend who NEVER fails.
He can always be counted on.
Always.
AND forever.
And that’s enough to keep us going all the way Home…
