Merry Christmas! What a Savior!

For unto us is born a Savior! (Luke 2:11)

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son to rescue us. (John 3:16)

Jesus came as a humble servant, setting aside His glory to live among us. (Phil 2:7-9)

He walked our dusty roads and felt our pain.

He allowed Himself to be tempted and tried, yet He did not sin. (Heb 4:15)

For He is the Perfect Lamb, the long-awaited prophesied Savior who willingly shed His blood for us.

Before He ever stepped foot into our darkness, He knew He would be betrayed—not just by Judas but by all His disciples. (Matt 26:16)

He knew we would all be utterly unworthy of the gift He offered. (Rom 3:23)

He knew each of our sins, He knows our flesh-filled, wandering hearts, He knew the ugliest of ugly that my feet, and your feet could walk right into.

He knew we would doubt Him, and fail Him, even after some of us have ran to Him.

He knew those He came to save would spit on Him, curse Him, and beat Him.

He knew it all.
He knows it all.

And instead of calling down a legion of angels to show this world His power (Matt 26), He set it all aside and willingly gave His life in payment of our sins.

He died so we might live. His blood forever making a way for all who might call upon His Name to save them.

But one day, He will return as a conquering King. One day the chance for salvation will be gone.

One day every knee will bow, one day every tongue will confess that Jesus, the Christ of Christmas, is Lord. (Rom 14:11)

He is God.

He is greater than my tongue could ever tell. He is hope for the hurting. He is help for the weary. He is light in our darkness.

Now.

Oh friend, do you know Him?

His arms are open wide.

What better day to run to Him?

What a Savior to celebrate!

Merry Christmas!
