There really isn’t much to debate.

I believe our country is at a crossroads.

Honestly, I sometimes wonder if we are too far gone; but I cannot help to hope and pray not—especially when I think about my children and grandchildren.

I believe too many of us have been distracted, disheartened and perhaps even fearful and have sat silently by; and now find ourselves stuck between the choice of a tremendously flawed man and a man who seems to increasingly, with boldness, stand on the side of evil.

The one has caused me to shake my head in disbelief at the things he has said and the way he says them.

What’s more, I’m saddened by his pride and “wobbling” on his stance for the unborn, but I have also seen this same man enact laws for life and religious freedom as few others have ever done. I’ve also seen him silence our foreign enemies.

It’s honestly perplexing to me to agree with most of his policies and be repulsed by his personality and moral failures.

However, the other man consistently chooses to promote as right the things God very clearly calls wrong while opening our country up to immorality as never before. He’s not only dropped all biblical boundaries and lobbied for the mutilation of our children, he manages to consistently stand proudly on the side of evil things despite clearly suffering from advanced dementia. Our country is as weak as it has ever been under his leadership.

And while I prefer to study and share about scripture, I cannot, at this crucial time, bury my head in the sand and separate my biblical worldview from the public square.

I have chosen to share these thoughts, at the risk of offending some, because I absolutely believe our churches and our children will be impacted by this upcoming election as no election in this country’s history.

I am specifically drawn to write these words to those of you who are considering throwing in the towel and sitting this election out. Believe me, I’ve been tempted too.

I understand you find it repulsive to vote for such a flawed man as DJT so you are considering not voting, but I ask you, will you prayerfully consider the effect of such an action?

Please understand there are millions who enthusiastically support the evil policies of this current administration. Millions.

They want to silence every voice that stands on the side of biblical principles.

They will flood the polls to vote for the right to kill babies right up to birth and even after. They fully support taking away parents rights for their children, denying every sort of religious freedom, and flinging open our borders to all kinds of threats.

The lines are clearly drawn on those issues and those issues alone should compel you to go and vote.

Those issues alone should compel you to find your voice in the public square because if “good men do nothing”, our Christian voices will soon be more than canceled, they may be outlawed; and we, and our children, and grandchildren will suffer deeply.

We have to ask ourselves, which of the two, far from ideal choices, will further weaken our nation and seek to squelch biblical principles and voices? Of that, there is not much debate.

Have no doubt, there is a spiritual battle waging in the heavenlies over the fate of this once great nation.

And yes, I know, America doesn’t seem to be relevant or even found in the eschatological passages of the Bible.

But none of us know when that time is to be. But all of us are called to find the courage to do all we can to promote right over wrong—and sometimes the choices we have (like now) are far from perfect.

But friend, to fail to make a choice is, in this situation, opening the door for more evil to reign.

And on top of all this, I would encourage you to pray. Let’s truly pray for God to have mercy on this country that has fallen so far as to have only the choice we now face.

Let’s prayerfully ask Him to bring salvation and revival.

For He, the One true God, who stands far above any government, is truly our only hope.
