My heart is broken for Israel. What is happening there is nothing less than demonic. My eyes cannot unsee the horrific videos on Twitter.
Our mainstream media has sanitized and politicized their reporting, but the reports and videos being posted on Twitter are gruesome.
Oh friends, we have to pray. We have to understand that kind of evil is real and absolutely among us. Our country and our families are not safe. Our leadership is corrupt, and our borders are broken.
But more than that, Christian, we’ve let down our guard.
We’ve been distracted with temporary, worldly things and not strengthened ourselves to stand on and for truth. We’ve sat idly by and let evil gain a foothold in our schools, our government, our homes and even, many of our churches.
I fear we will pay a heavy price. Do we think the terrorists who are spurred on by demonic forces hate us any less? Do we think our enemy is not rejoicing as the American church sits idly by while wrong things are called right and even celebrated?
Oh, I know it’s Monday morning and you have a busy week. So do I.
But if we continue to stick our heads in the sand, if we continue to turn the other way as evil runs rampant, that evil will surely demand our attention, and perhaps demand more than our attention, but our very lives and the lives of those we love.
For those in Israel who are brutally dying, those women, those children, being senselessly slaughtered, are all someone’s loved one.
Oh friends, will we pray? And, will we truly find our voices to stand against evil for ourselves, our families, and others around the world? Will we stop ignoring evil in our own homes and compromising with it in our churches?
May we soberly cling to God with all we have and remember, “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. (Eph 6:12-18)
And may we, like the Apostle Paul, boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ —for He is the only hope for this broken world.
The Only Hope.
