Knowing this, is your heart compelled?

The poor guy was demon-possessed, blind, and mute, and Jesus heals him (Matt 12:22). The crowds begin to wonder if Jesus could actually be the Son of David (the Messiah).

But the Pharisees accused Jesus of having demonic power to which Jesus logically reasoned, “If Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” (Matt 12:26).

Jesus then more clearly defines His power and deity saying, “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the Kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Matt 12:28)

“Surely, the Kingdom of God has come upon you. “

God with us.
Not just at Christmas, but for the Christian, the Kingdom of God is with YOU every single moment of every single day!

The same God who healed the demon-possessed, blind, mute man has unlimited power! Nothing is too hard for Him! He can take away my tendency to worry. He can take away my temper. He can heal my broken heart. He can __.

I find this incredibly encouraging as I also remember the book of Mark tells us we can say, “I believe God, help my unbelief” (see Mark 9:24, God didn’t have to put that passage there!)

Honestly, we all need to ask ourselves if Jesus is actually God who cast out demons and spoke the universe into existence, could there possibly be anything too hard for Him?

And if Jesus is God, who would come to die for us, how can our hearts not be compelled to trust Him with everything that comes our way?

And if God, can He not also supernaturally control what is in the Bible? Does He not mean what it says and mean for us to follow it and be encouraged by it?

Oh friends! The Kingdom of God is with us!
