Broad is the way that leads to destruction” (Matt 7:13)
It seems that way more than ever. So many seem to be running away from Christ and His ways rather than toward Him.
Few find the narrow gate that leads to life. (Matt 7:14)
And so many of us who have found life in Christ, who know Jesus and seek to live our lives with a biblical world view, feel like lone rangers.
We see wrong paraded as right even on the lawn of our White House. We see companies celebrate wrong in the name of diversity. We see doctors mutilating children for profit. We see parents, teachers, and coaches being threatened for using correct (rather than preferred) pronouns.
Yes, we are concerned about this world our kids, and grandkids, are growing up in. We wonder just how hard things may get for those who seek to follow Christ and live our lives as the Bible guides.
Now more than ever, it is incredibly important for believers to keep meeting together and encouraging one another as we see the Day approaching. (Heb 10:25)
This is absolutely not the time to pull away from church.God told us to keep meeting together! Surely, He knew we’d all have moments when we just want to stay home.
We all get distracted and discouraged, and exactly because of this, we need others to remind us to look to Jesus and be encouraged with Truth.
This is the time to engage. This is the time to be in the Word and be around others who are. This is the time to pray like never before and have friends who will pray for us.
Oh hold on friend! I know it seems crazy out there! But our King is coming! Let’s meet together and encourage each other! Go to church. Find a Bible study. Call and invite someone to coffee today. Let’s be intentional to help each other as we see the Day approaching!
