“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” (1 Tim 1:17)
As Paul wrote those words in his letter to Timothy, I wonder if he sat his pen down, lifted his hands to heaven and was overcome with praise to the Lord?
Did tears fill his eyes as his he wrote the words “eternal, immortal, invisible and wise”?
Did he wonder how long before his voice would join those in Heaven, thousands upon ten thousands, giving the Lord glory, and honor, and praise forever?
Paul’s ministry, whether writing a letter or sitting chained to a prison wall, was marked by abundant praise and adoration for the Lord.
As he sang praises —supernatural things happened. (see Acts 16:25-26)
Paul served the Lord in hard places, he confronted sin head on, he suffered horrifically to speak truth, but he DID NOT neglect to praise the Lord in the midst of it all.
Oh, let’s don’t miss this, this Thanksgiving week!
In the midst of all the hard things going on around us right now, this crazy year, let’s don’t neglect to stop and praise the Lord!
Let’s don’t forget Who has given all that we might live eternally with Him, and Who has us in the palm of His Hand. Let’s stop and thank Him for what He has done for us. Let’s remember His great mercy.
Look back at the things God has done for you in your life.
Look up knowing He has all your tomorrows.
Look around you right now. Can you count your blessings from the eternal, immortal, invisible, wise God?
Tomorrow will celebrate Thanksgiving, but our lips were made to praise Him every day!
Let’s don’t get so busy with our lives that we forget just how very much we are truly blessed by the Lord who has done for us what we could never do for ourselves!
🙌🏻 Would you leave a comment of praise, just one word even, about Who Jesus has been to you this year?
Has He been your Provider? Healer? Comforter? Helper? Redeemer? Savior? Friend? Protector? Peace?
Oh, let the redeemed SAY SO! Seriously, let’s say so, and be His witnesses for the great things He has done!
What a Savior!!!!
