Have you noticed the lost world increasingly trying to disparage Christianity and discredit Christians and even Jesus?
Have you noticed some, you thought strong in the faith, compromising on Biblical principles?
Have you spoken with a few, even calm, level-headed Christians, who think the End of Days could be approaching? And they are EXCITED!
But there are others, many others, who believe this life is all there is as the Sadducees did long ago.
The Sadducees were a Jewish sect who believed there was no resurrection and that, basically, the soul dies with the body.
They lived in opulence taking from fellow Jews while cozying up to worldly Rome.
The High Priests, Annas and Caiaphus, were both Sadducees and played key roles in the crucifixion of Jesus.
Jesus, threatened the Sadducees‘ control and their rule.
In the weeks before the Cross, the Sadducees thought they could discredit Jesus with their question about whose wife a woman would be in the resurrection who had married brother after brother after each had died. (Luke 20:27-38)
And today, those who desire to control and rule others, often for their own financial gain, still seek to discredit Jesus.
It’s happening all around us right now in our country and our world.
But what should we do?
Now, more than ever, we need to KNOW whom we have believed ….”But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me.” (2Tim 1:12)
We need to KNOW HIM through His Word, not just know what others tell us about Him (this blogger included).
We all need to know what we believe because we have read it in the Word with our own eyes.
It is there, that we will be prepared to stand on the firm ground that is JESUS CHRIST and not fall from trying to stand on the ever-moving, sinking sand of this world! (Matt 7:24-27)
As we truly know Whom we have believed, and revere Him in our hearts as Lord, we have HOPE and are prepared to give a reason for the hope we have to the crazy, lost world around us! (1Pet 3:15)
What a Savior!

Thank you! We all need to remember this is not our home! Too often we look like the church in Sardis, we look alive but are dead. We must not go alone to get along, we must preach the Gospel, the whole Gospel. Praying for you.
