Jesus said you are with me or against me (Matt 12:30).
There is no neutral.
You either see the world and life from a biblical worldview or from a satanic worldview.
Either there is One True God and One source of absolute truth that exists outside of you; or you operate by a satanic worldview —truth exists inside of you.
You determine what is right and wrong based on what feels right or wrong to you.
Like the evil one, you are your own god.
You do what you want, and what feels right, and what makes you happy.
Yes, the enemy loves it when your choices to make yourself happy (through drugs, unholy relationships, and ungodly lifestyles) hurt you and others.
But the evil one is also fine if you are happy here, indulging in what you determine to feel right to you, as long as you never run to God.
The thing is, those who sit on the throne of their own lives, who are “living their truth ”, who believe truth exists inside of them have no part with Christ. They are living their best life now.
Happy or sad doesn’t matter to the evil one. But one day, those who live as gods of their own lives, will realize there is One True God.
There is absolute truth. God alone determines what is right and wrong—not them and how they feel about things.
For God alone is truth. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
He alone is holy (1 Sam 2:2), and He is coming again and will one day separate those who follow Him as Lord of their lives from those who think they command their own destinies (Matt 25:31-46).
One day every knee will bow to God (Rom 14:11)—but for some it will be too late.
So yes, the evil one does not care if you are happy or sad here, as long as you continue to look to yourself and your feelings to rule your life and never surrender to the One True God. Your destiny will be the same as his, though not popular to say—Hell.
But those who call upon Jesus as Lord shall be saved (Rom 10:13.) Blessed are those whose God is the Lord (Psalm 144:15)—both in this life and forevermore!
