Prone to Worry?

I come from a long line of people who have an amazing ability to worry.

We can take the smallest issue and imagine it into a hurricane of trouble in about five minutes.

It’s my flesh default.

But God.

He clearly says,”Do not fret”(Psalm 37:1)

And my mind wonders, “but how do I not?”

I can clearly see the trouble looming on the horizon. I know hard things happen.

To be honest, I’m knee deep in the thick of some hard things right now. And those hard things might get harder.

But then, I remember, all the hard days that have come since Jesus became my Lord…

And the truth is, He was with me in each one.

And the glorious fact is, it was exactly those hard days that helped me love and trust Him more.

How could I think my Faithful Father, who alone can bring beauty from ashes, won’t do that same thing again?

He didn’t leave me before. Why would I think He will leave me now?

Why would any of us ever think He would stop working hard things into good for those who love Him? (Rom 8:28)

His promises, they fail not.

No
Not
Ever

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; “(Lam 3:22)

“But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them,
Because they trust in Him.”
(Psalm 37:39-40)

Because
They
TRUST
In
HIM!

This one day,
let’s keep trusting.
Let’s keep obeying.

And then let’s get up and do the same thing tomorrow.

And as we do, we will feel PEACE like a river carrying us.

And our faith will grow.
We will trust God more.

And that is no small thing.
