Too much for you?

Someone dear to me has been asked to do something that will impact many people.

He doesn’t take this task lightly and is really not sure why he was chosen for such a big responsibility.

And with that I smile —even more convinced that he is exactly who should have been chosen.

For just like all the other hard things this one has endeavored to do, I know where he will go for his strength and wisdom.

This one is not self-confident, but has shaped his thinking and his life through the Word and prayer.

His quiet strength has been birthed by a continual looking to the Lord for his direction; and I know this endeavor, though the task large and the impact great, will be no different.

This dear one is not guided by the whims of our culture ,or by the wishy washy praise of others, and he has not been since he set his heart to know and follow Christ.

And I’m confident that the Lord put that desire in him to acknowledge God and to follow Him in all his ways (Prov 3:6).

I’m also confident that God will continue to equip this man for all he calls him to do because God is faithful and He will do it. (1Thess 5:23-24 tells us that).

And friend, God will do that for you too as you find yourself called to do things you feel way too big for you. God is faithful and He will do it through you.

Please, hear me on that. I pray someone reading this will hear me on this.

You just keep putting your nose in His Living Word, keep praying, and you’ll have all you need for all that comes your way.

“Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. (1Thess 5:23-24)
