Has God given us over to a debased mind?

He said his “marriage ended in his mind in 2015” though he was still married when recently taking money for lavish vacations and having his famous affair with Fannie Willis.

“Ended in his mind” ?

The mom says her preteen girl feels that she is a boy and insists everyone refer to her child as such as she is pumped with puberty blockers. The child also now wears a tail because sometimes she, who “feels“ like a he, also “feels” that she is an animal.

And the latest craze (and I mean crazy) is that the polyanormous group of three (but the group can be an infinite number of people who “feel” like a committed romantic group) think they should get the same rights as married couples because they currently “feel” committed to their love group.

Our culture now thinks we can define marriage, gender, and even species, based on our feelings for the moment.

We are a people who are rebelling against our Creator and the order His Word puts in place for our good.

The horrendous ramifications of this to children, families, our country, and this world, are beyond imagination.

Has God given us over to a debased mind?

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness”, (Rom 1:28, first part of 29)

Oh friend, go read all of Romans 1.

“For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise they became fools.” (Rom 1:21-22)

Fools.

Does this not look like our world today?

“For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error”. (Rom 1:26-27)

(This is New Testament, by the way, to all those who foolishly argue this behavior is only addressed in the Old Testament.)

And is this not where we find ourselves today?

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. “ (Rom 1:28-31)

Do we really want a society that is given over to a debased mind?? Friends, to be sure, we are all suffering as we sit idly by.

For silence is often perceived as acceptance and approval.

What’s more, what I absolutely cannot understand, is those who call themselves believers who not only sit in silence but voice their support and approval for those who are filled with all manner of unrighteousness.

How many would attend a same sex wedding? How many are willing to use someone’s “preferred pronouns”?

God through Paul warns us, “Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” (Rom 1:32)

Of friend, God gave us His Word. His righteous decrees are for our good. He defines male and female and marriage. A society without order will fail.

A people who rebel against God’s created order and live foolishly based on what they feel to be true are doomed.

We better wake up.

We better find our voices and warn those trapped in sin for our own well-being and the well-being of those children and grandchildren that we love.

It’s not that we think we are better than anyone else. It’s simply that we know God’s ways are and we all need Him.
