We long for it.
We desperately want it.
Unconditional love.

But the enemy, he’s twisted it. And so many are buying his lie, and the evil one is using this lie to separate people from those who truly love them.

The father of all lies has whispered that if people don’t accept our sin, treat it as normal these days, even celebrate it, then they don’t really love us unconditionally.

The thing is, this could not be further from the truth.

For the people in your life who truly love you, will challenge you to walk away from what the Bible calls sin so you can have the better things God has planned for you now and in eternity.

They love you so much they are willing to risk even their relationship with you for you to find real freedom and eternal life.

What’s more, it’s actually incredibly selfish, and not loving, to elevate a no-conflict relationship with someone above their soul.

If you tell yourself you want someone to “just be happy” and you never bring up unrepentant sin in a relationship so as not to rock that relationship —you must ask yourself if you care more about your relationship than their eternal soul.

What’s more —it’s honestly unfathomable if you are a believer and you’re not sure that the other person is saved—for their relationship with God is much more important than yours with them will ever be.

Yes, the enemy of our souls is deliberately trying to convince us all that unconditional love is the ignoring, the accepting, and even the celebration of sin that is actually hurting someone else—perhaps hurting them for eternity!

What a liar he is! What destruction and misery he truly has in mind.

Let’s recognize the spiritual battle going on here! The evil one has made it culturally acceptable to threaten those who dare bring up the sin of another with cancellation—“Just cancel the relationship and move on to those who will love you for you.”

But the truth is, those who fall for this lie are walking away from those who truly love them. They are running to those who really don’t love them at all and toward their own destruction.
