So many of you have encouraged me to do this! Thank you for being a huge part by praying and encouraging me to put together the daily devotions God lays on my heart into book form.

Corinth was a dark place. Evil forces were at work. The church was in danger of falling away. Sounds a lot like our world today, doesn’t it?

Can you imagine the disappointment and discouragement the Apostle Paul must have felt when he received news that the new believers in Corinth—those whom he had preached to and spent time with—were now fighting with each other and not fighting sin? Paul had seen genuine conversion and true faith birthed. Dead men had come alive, but now the young church was full of division and immorality.

So, Paul picked up his pen—inspired by a merciful and righteous God—to plead with those true believers who had compromised with sin to walk back to truth and come together in unity for their good and God’s glory.

And thousands of years later, this letter to the Corinthians, these holy words you can hold in your hands, are also aimed at our hearts for our good and God’s glory!

Let’s journey together through Paul’s letters to the Corinthians. As you study with me, I pray your hunger for the Word grows. May we be ever more inspired to hold tight to the One who is coming again.
