Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! (Phil 4:4)
You know, there is much to celebrate because of Jesus! I absolutely love that CHRISTmas will be here soon, a time when many intently focus on celebrating Him, but we can always rejoice in Him no matter what else is going on!
Christians always have so much to celebrate! We should be the most joy-filled people on the planet.
And that joy, is our strength!!!
This rejoicing in the Lord, this re-JOY-cing,is just how we can move past the disappointments and hurts in our lives caused by other people.
It is no accident that Paul talks about rejoicing in the Lord right after he brings up the two women’s squabble. (Phil 4:2)
The truth is, if our minds are truly on the reasons we have to rejoice in the Lord, then we will find other things and other people don’t have so much affect on us!
We can let things go! And, oh my goodness, what BLESSING there is in that!!!
Seriously, why not let yourself imagine what “letting go and rejoicing” looks like versus continuing to hold on to unforgiveness, or staying in that squabble ?
Oh friend, choose JOY! It’s your choice you know!
The joy of the Lord really is strength! It’s what enables us to walk in freedom and hope!
And, It’s what others are drawn to in us!
Oh think about it, what many reasons we have to re-JOY-ce in this day and every day because of Christ the Lord!
Yes, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!” (Phil 4:4)
And as you do, you’ll find you, and those around you are better off!
