“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Phil 2:5)

And with that, STOP.

As Christians, our goal is to increasingly think like Christ. We are to replace our worldly, flesh-filled, self-centered, thoughts with the mindset of Christ.

And here’s the thing, God has given us the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) but we have to CHOOSE to walk in Christ-like thoughts.

We do this by taking every thought we have captive to the obedience of Christ.

Specifically, Paul said, “ We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” (2 Cor 10:5)

Even as Christians, we can think wrong.

Whats more, notice the words Paul uses to get our thinking in line with our Lord are not gentle, flowery words but are WARFARE words.

We need to be ON GUARD, we need to be ALERT. We need to PUT TO DEATH any thinking that does not align itself to the perfect Word of God.

We are not to look to our world for right thinking, we are to look to God’s Holy Word. His Son is our example, not this culture.

And increasingly, Godly thinking is counter to our culture.

Friend, make no mistake, the evil one is using our culture to manipulate us into thinking wrong things are right. Be on guard!

The enemy slyly slides in ungodly things (you know what I’m talking about) in our entertainment and makes these things appear as normal and right. Be alert!

We find ourselves lectured by politicians and news media about how we should think, and often what they are promoting is anti-biblical. Put that wrong thinking to death in your thoughts!

As Christians, we have to watch for this all day everyday! We have to do this to protect our families!

Let’s compare everything coming at us today to truth so we will have the mind of Christ, not the broken, wrong thinking of this world.

Then let’s get up tomorrow and be on guard, be alert and do it all again!
