It is normally so different.
When I hear that song…

Normally, when I listen to those words the blessings in my life roll through my mind like a movie reel.

I raise my hands.
I bow my head.
I praise.

“All my life you have been faithful.
All my life you’ve been so, so good…”

But this time,
was so different.

As the song played,
as I sat there alone on my couch,
sin,
after ugly sin,
flashed through my mind.

My sin.

Things I had not thought about
in years.

Things I had told no one….

But God has seen them all.

And the words of that song suddenly held new meaning for me…

All my life HE has been faithful!
All my life HE has been so, so good…

Though I am so thankful, it is not the blessings I can see that proves His goodness.

No, it’s the sin…
MY SIN
that He has seen
and forgiven
that proves His faithfulness.

Oh yes, all my life
HE HAS BEEN FAITHFUL.

He alone!

God has been so, so good!

For though He has seen, and will see every sin I ever commit, God sent His Son to die for me.

He owes me nothing.
I owe Him everything.
Yet, how He has blessed me.

All my life,
HE has been
SO, SO GOOD!

with every breath,
that I am able,
in this day,
no matter what comes,
even if, He never does one more good thing for me…

May I sing
may we ALL SING,
may the redeemed sing,
of the GOODNESS of God!
