The audio is garbled but the two who yelled “Jesus is Lord” (and were then thrown out of the Harris rally) have been identified.
How far has our country fallen that two college students would be thrown out for yelling, “Jesus is Lord” at a political rally?
What’s more, these words were yelled as Harris began detailing her boisterous support for abortion to which she replied to those who had yelled, “I think you are at the wrong rally. You need to go to the smaller one” (the Republican one) “down the street.”
How far have we fallen that a candidate, while excitedly describing her support for abortion, would suggest those who proclaim Jesus as Lord don’t belong at a Democratic political rally?
Well, maybe she’s right. Maybe those who profess Christ as Lord don’t belong there.
Let me be really clear, if you compare the two platforms, I agree with Harris—Christ followers should have a problem supporting the Democratic Party.
And just in case, you’d like to argue that Harris did not hear what was yelled at her event, why is her campaign not vigorously saying that to squelch the controversy?
If you’d like to know where I stand on this election and the choices we have, fully recognizing neither is perfect, I agree with this pastor, in this 6 minute clip I shared previously and his take on it all https://youtu.be/kD5ohKGtPoU
It’s worth listening until the end to understand his entire point that I think may convict us all.
